Waymo

Alphabet Inc., the parent company of Google, split Waymo, a self-driving technology startup, from the rest of the corporation in December 2016. The company focuses on the development of autonomous vehicle technology in order to provide reliable, efficient, and secure self-driving automobiles. Waymo's technology enables vehicles to grasp their surroundings and make driving decisions using cameras, radar, and lidar. Since 2009, the company has conducted road tests of its autonomous car technology in Arizona, California, and Michigan. In Phoenix, Arizona, the business has began testing their minivan technology as of 2017. Waymo plans to launch a ride-hailing service using driverless vehicles in the near future.
