The anticipated salary range for this role is between $238,000.00 and $265,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

Role Description

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary AI Commercialization Lead to spearhead the development, deployment, and market adoption of innovative AI solutions. As the driving force behind the commercialization of AI technologies, you will work at the intersection of product strategy, market trends, and customer needs to transform cutting-edge AI capabilities into scalable, impactful business solutions.

Role Objectives

  • Commercial Strategy Development: Define and execute strategic plans for AI product commercialization, aligning with business goals and market opportunities.
  • Market Research: Analyze industry trends, customer pain points, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities for AI deployment.
  • Product Positioning: Collaborate with R&D, product management, and business teams to craft compelling value propositions for AI solutions.
  • Partnership Management: Build and nurture partnerships with industry stakeholders to accelerate adoption and expand market presence.
  • Customer Engagement: Collaborate with consumer teams to gather feedback, refine offerings, and ensure seamless implementation.
  • Compliance and Ethics: Ensure AI solutions adhere to industry regulations, ethical standards, and data privacy laws.
  • Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration across AI, engineering, risk, legal and business functions.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in commercializing AI or technology-driven products.
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies, applications, and trends.
  • Demonstrated success in crafting go-to-market strategies and managing product lifecycles.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to synthesize technical information into actionable strategies.
  • Must have a positive, collaborative leadership style with colleagues and customer first attitude.
  • Strong sense of ownership over deliverables
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, technology, or related fields.
