AI/ML - Sr. Software Engineer, ML Systems Evaluation Engineering
Job Description
You will lead the quality initiatives of AIML products and collaborate with the most innovative product development teams in the world. This team designs and builds evaluation tools, automation frameworks and methodologies that enable product teams across Apple to develop machine-learning solutions that power amazingly intelligent user experiences. You will engage with exciting new-product teams around Apple, bringing your expertise and passion for innovation to solving technical problems for our next-generation products.
Responsibilities
This role will lead the qualification of AIML future products by developing evaluation tools, infrastructure and methodologies for Apple’s hardware platforms, collaborating with world class cross functional teams across the company. These include design and development of automation frameworks and methodologies for simulation and evaluation of user experiences for ML based products, evaluation of personalization, and scalability of the frameworks across locales and device types and configuration.
This role is responsible for defining and tracking user impact and user success metrics. Equally, this role will participate in Apple's AIML future products roadmap decisions, contributing insights and recommendations derived from the in-depth understanding of the current success metrics of AIML products.
Job Requirements
- 6+ years of proven expertise in software development with Java, Python, Swift or Objective-C
- Experience working on large scale products and leveraging cross-functional partnerships
- Ability to independently learn new technologies in a fast paced environment
- Understanding of an ML-based product lifecycle
- Experience with analyzing user behavior and designing test strategies, automation frameworks is a plus
- Demonstrated depth of knowledge and application of statistics-based evaluation methodologies or user success metrics
- Experience with automation fixtures, robotics and lab environments a plus.
