AutogenAI is transforming the world of writing - through collaboration with Artificial Intelligence. Our cutting-edge SaaS bid and proposal writing platform launched in October and has already achieved a great product-market fit with exceptional ARR and has recently received a $22m Series A investment.

We are seeking a keen AI Scientist for our AI Research & Development team to work across teams to develop impactful features that will ultimately shape the future of professional writing.

The salary range is £90-100K with hybrid working two days a week in our collaborative London office.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research into LLMs, knowledge retrieval, parsing, auto data analysis, and other AI technologies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research papers, advances in AI technology, and industry insights by attending research conferences and AI events and communicating any interesting findings to the rest of the company.
  • Engage in R&D activities to convert papers into code and prototype new features for our platform.
  • Play an active role in the engineering, training, fine-tuning (RFLH), and deployment of our AI/ML models.
  • Lead as a player-coach, spending some time coaching junior data scientists and research engineers.
  • Deliver talks about AI - mostly to people fascinated by it - and collaborate with our marketing department to develop guides, visuals, blog posts, and videos demonstrating how our tech works.

The role involves everything from brainstorming with researchers to discussing design feedback with a product manager or customer. Another joy of working for AutogenAI is the opportunity to gain exposure to interesting skills outside of your area of expertise.

No agencies - this role is exclusive to a single recruiter. Uninvited approaches will be marked as spam.

Requirements

You must have:

  • 2-3 years experience in a similar AI Scientist role.
  • Strong knowledge of PyTorch, TensorFlow/Keras, and data science libraries such as Scikit-learn.
  • Proficiency in Python and potentially JavaScript - for when you want to build that front-end prototype!
  • Strong mathematical understanding of LLMs and other AI/ML algorithms and concepts.
  • Industry experience putting large models into production.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Above all, an intense curiosity for AI technology and the ability to convert new research into clean code.

Nice to have:

  • PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or equivalent field.
  • Contribution to an AI/ML research paper.
  • An interesting GitHub project or article.

Benefits

  • One of the fastest growing AI companies in the UK, also one of the coolest (perhaps we are a little biased).
  • Greenfield work in the AI R&D team; we are technique, method, and tool agnostic.
  • Exposure to advisor board members who work at the most prominent AI research institutions.
  • A diverse workplace with people from all backgrounds, from Olympians to philosophers.
  • We are a hybrid-working company, with two office days in London each week and occasional working retreats in sunny locations.
  • We’re very open to discussion around working hours and other flexibilities. Additionally, you’ll get your choice of laptop, a home office allowance, 28 days holiday + bank holidays, and more.
  • The salary range is £90-100K.
