

AIML - Lead Engineering Program Manager, Data Platform
Job Description
The AIML EPM org is seeking a lead EPM for its Machine Learning Infrastructure & data platform products within the MLPT (Machine Learning Platform & Technology) group.
Responsibilities
*Define the roadmap, and drive adoption of the right scalable and flexible privacy-preserving ML Infra and data platform to empower
*Apple development teams to effectively ingest, store, process, transform, analyze, and curate data for Machine Learning and analytics
*Proactively identify use cases from internal partners, build cases, define requirements and product specs.
*Work with cross-functional leaders and partners to establish roadmap
*Create a robust feedback loop with collaborators, partners and users to continuously improve products
*Come up with product metrics to measure the success of our data platform in relation to overall MLPT product goal
*Evangelize data products and drive platform product adoption
*Build relationships across Apple organization and facilitate communication between cross-divisional groups
*Be the driver, evangelist, problem-solver, and leader who helps our engineering and operations team gather and use data that makes
*Apple’s MLPT platform the world’s best for machine learning while aligning with our strong privacy guarantees to our users
Job Requirements
- 8+ years experience in a role leading ML Infrastructure data products and cross-functional teams as a product leader
- Consistent record of delivering reliable and large-scale ML Infra and data platform products including storage, feature store, data management, data versioning, privacy, data governance, analytics tools, large- scale and high-throughput backend services, and/or user-facing applications that use those services
- Strong program management and technical skills to effectively drive cross functional programs spanning multiple organizations
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and experience in hybrid cloud ML Infra and data platform
- Experience mentoring product and program managers
- Passionate about delivering the best user experience by providing thought leadership on end-to-end user experience for technical products
- Strong user empathy and drive to define the product strategy by actively interviewing users & running surveys to craft the product roadmap
- Establishes strong partnership with engineering teams by translating user needs into detailed product requirements
- Ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, make recommendations, drive actions and measure success
- Self-motivated, independent, and proactive; demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities; can quickly (real-time) triage, prioritize, drive consensus and lead cross- functional teams under pressure
- Outstanding communication and presentation abilities to share the product vision, influence leaders, motivate engineering teams and evangelize the product
- Highly developed drive to improve how things work, with a track record of driving improvements for team quality, performance, agility and effectiveness
