AIML - Senior Machine Learning Manager, Siri Understanding
Job Description
We are looking to hire a Senior ML Engineering Manager with a proven record in leading multiple teams of machine learning engineers and strong technical skills. Your highly talented teams of engineers work alongside leading machine learning scientists to develop the next generation of Siri. We use world-class tools and software engineering practices to push the boundaries of artificial intelligence with a single aim: to make a real difference in the lives of hundreds of millions of Siri users.
Responsibilities
This role requires someone with deep experience in developing, launching, maintaining, and extending products. The role requires experience in both developing technical strategy as well as successfully delivering tactical engineering projects to realize that strategy over time. The candidate must have a proven track record of building strong cohesive teams from initial hires to shipping multiple products.
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering experience
- 8+ years managing teams that design and deliver complex software engineering projects
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives with a tangible impact on the direction of product
- Strong organizational skills and experience working with large, diverse teams
- Strong in Computer Science fundamentals, software engineering principles, and development methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Provide technical leadership/take accountability for engineering quality
- Drive definition and adoption of engineering standard methodologies
- Proven leader who’s continued to build teams that ship from the ground up, including positioning them well to continue to ship iteratively post-launch.
