Sigma AI is a global training data collection, preparation and annotation services company headquartered in Madrid, Spain with offices in London, UK and Miami, USA. With 30+ years of experience in the data annotation space, we support companies with the right mix of people, processes and technology to train smarter AI that serves humans better.

We are currently seeking an experienced project and team manager and will be critical to our ability to rapidly scale and deliver high-quality results from our Miami office. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of project management expertise, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively manage and motivate remote teams.



Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the team of project managers responsible for day-to-day project delivery. Partner with internal Sigma resources to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and at a high level of quality.
  • Project Planning and Execution: Coordinate with client and internal team on project deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation strategies for multiple concurrent projects.  
  • Task Assignment and Monitoring: Understand overarching team workload and assign or reallocate PMs to projects and monitor progress to ensure timely and high-quality completion. Clearly communicate project expectations, provide necessary resources and support, and foster a collaborative remote working environment.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal stakeholders, clients and PMs. Proactively identify and address potential risks, issues, and changes, ensuring all parties are informed.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure deliverables meet required standards and client expectations. Provide constructive feedback to PMs to drive continuous improvement.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Identify potential risks and issues proactively, develop mitigation plans, and effectively resolve challenges to keep projects on track.
  • Adaptability and Problem-Solving: Navigate ambiguity and adapt to changing project requirements and priorities with agility and resourcefulness. Develop creative solutions to overcome obstacles.
  • Performance Management: Monitor the performance of PMs, provide regular feedback, and identify opportunities for skill development and engagement.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, status and progress reports.

Qualifications:

  • High level English and Spanish language proficiency.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and motivating global or distributed teams
  • Significant project management experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in linguistics, translation, transcription, AI or ML a plus.
