Finance Operations Manager - Procure to Pay
Job Description

As part of the finance operations team, you design and manage financial processes, controls, and reporting to enable the ongoing operation of Waymo, while maintaining compliance with relevant laws, regulations, company policies, and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the accounts payable function to achieve the strategic and operational goals of the function. Provide oversight with strategic direction, process improvements, operational reporting, audit reviews, and financial controls.
- Establish and maintain regular metrics reviews to drive efficiencies in cost, utilization and maintain compliance in all Accounts Payable related activities.
- Design and maintain finance processes that work internationally while accommodating the requirements of the local markets, at scale. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Manage and supervise finance operations staff and outsourced operations team. Guide staff and cross functional teams to achieve strategic and operational goals for the program and organization.
- Liaise with cross functional teams (e.g. contracts, IT, supply chain) to ensure smooth operations and clarify roles and responsibilities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree .
- Minimum of 8+ years experience in Finance Operations, Operations, or Process Optimization, (5 as a Manager/Supervisor).
It’s preferred if you have:
- MBA, Master's or professional qualifications such as Six Sigma certification and/or CPA.
- Experience working with AP systems in SAP or equivalent. Manufacturing industry experience with both direct and indirect purchasing/Accounts Payable processes
- Success working in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment and leading complex operations initiatives. Ability to independently drive and prioritize multiple initiatives.
- Experience developing risk assessment frameworks and tools.
- The ability to lead an outsourced global operation and set the strategic vision. Strong influencing skills and change management experience.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and people skills.
