Cruise is looking for an outstanding Sensor Automation & Test Engineer Intern to help bring-up and test our next generation sensors as well as contribute positively to our testing capabilities by developing sustainable and scalable test processes and methods. In this position, you will work on a multidisciplinary team and work with various stakeholders in order to gather test requirements to develop robust and thorough test stations and tools on fast-paced timelines.
Responsibilities
- Write software tools to automate sensor data acquisition, data processing, and analyses of test data
- Develop and implement test station automation improvements - Contribute to the sensor testing automation tool codebase and software tool development methodologies - Troubleshoot test stations alongside test station operators
- Collaborate with engineers to determine automation requirements
Job Requirements
- Strong understanding of Python
- Working knowledge of Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems and comfortable with terminals
- Experience developing or using software tools
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose in both system and component level environments

- Understanding of C/C++, MATLAB, SQL, Docker and/or bash scripting
- Familiarity with electronic instrument control and communications(GPIB, Visa, RS232)
- Familiar with Cloud technologies such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Azure
