About the Role:

Location: NYC (In-Office)

We're looking for a highly entrepreneurial Lead Technical Recruiter to scale our engineering and AI teams. You’ll own end-to-end recruiting for all technical hires — from sourcing and interviewing to closing — and partner directly with founders and engineering leadership to shape the future of our team.

This is more than just a recruiter role — it's an opportunity to help define the talent strategy at one of the most ambitious AI companies in the GTM space. You’ll be on the ground floor of building a world-class technical team and company culture.

What You’ll Do

• Own Full-Cycle Recruiting: Manage sourcing, screening, interviews, and offers for technical roles across engineering, AI/ML, and infra.
• Strategic Talent Planning: Partner with founders and hiring managers to understand team needs and design effective hiring strategies.
• Outbound & Creative Sourcing: Use LinkedIn, GitHub, events, referrals, and other creative channels to find and engage top-tier candidates.
• Candidate Experience: Ensure a seamless, thoughtful experience for every candidate from first touch to close.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams to calibrate on technical skill assessments, culture fit, and interview design.
• Stay Current: Keep up with industry trends and continually optimize our recruiting practices.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience for top engineering and/or AI/ML talent at fast-moving startups.
• A strong understanding of technical roles, stacks, and how to partner with engineering to assess skill and fit.
• Strong sourcing skills and experience identifying passive talent using modern tools and strategies.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills — you know how to sell the vision and close high-quality talent.
• Ability to operate independently, prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple roles at once.

Bonus Points

• Experience recruiting for AI, infra, or ML-heavy roles.
• Familiarity with platforms like Gem, Greenhouse, and LinkedIn Recruiter.
• Comfortable designing or administering technical assessments and interview loops.

The base salary range for this full-time position based in New York is: $160,000 - $180,000. This position is eligible for incentive stock options, subject to the terms of Actively AI's applicable plans.
