Principal Infrastructure Architect (Remote)

• Conducting assessments of as is environments and documenting them
• Defining and documenting standards such as naming conventions, designs for network/compute/storage, standard configurations, and etc.
• Working with the product engineering team to ensure cloud and on-prem infrastructure designs/architecture follow security requirements and best practices.
• Design and drive the implementation of monitoring solutions for Cloud and on-prem infrastructure environments
• Design and develop automation tool configuration templates and deployment strategy of cloud infrastructure
• Creating and maintaining the infrastructure intranet site which will contain policies, architecture designs, standard configurations, and other key information
• Collaborate with IT, InfoSec, Data architecture, Cloud Engineering and DevOps teams to ensure architecture standards are adopted and followed
• Design and drive the Authentication and Authorization architectures for existing and new technologies
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and architecture best practices.
• Develop a rolling 24 month roadmap for infrastructure technology delivery

• 12+ years of experience designing on-prem and cloud infrastructure solutions
• Multi-cloud experience, deep expertise with at least one of AWS/GCP/Azure platforms
• Experience in designing highly secure infrastructure solutions
• Experience in deploying monitoring and performance platforms for both cloud and on-prem infrastructure
• Practical experience working with cloud automation and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Python, etc
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
• Experience in architecting IAM solutions in both on-prem and AWS/GCP cloud platforms
• Experience in designing and implementing DNS for both internal and external environments  
• Ability to re-architect cloud platforms in a high technical matrix organization with a strong understanding of application , data architectures, and cloud native applications designs
• Proven track record of driving efficiency through standards, automation, and management systems
• Architect certification in one of the following cloud providers, GCP, Azure, or AWS
• Strong problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills
• A self-starter that is passionate and motivated by new technologies and has empathy for legacy systems
• A quick learner that can keep up with ongoing new features being release by the cloud providers
