Where You Fit

We are searching for a highly motivated Research Scientist to explore, design, and optimize assays to demonstrate the feasibility of potential new products and technologies reporting to the Chief Scientific Officer at the Diagnostics Division.  The ideal candidate is someone who has expertise in genomics and clinical diagnostics, specifically Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies and is excited about being a part of a fast-paced and rapidly growing company shaping the category of AI-powered pathology.

What You’ll Do

• Clinical research and development
• Validation/verification of diagnostic molecular tests, and production implementation of tests
• Explore ways to enhance test menu and identify cost savings
• Collect and analyze data using statistical methods
• Write accurate and concise validations plans and summaries, standard operating procedures (SOPs), clinical documents, memos, and correspondences
• Translate projects into project management timelines and adhere to delivery dates
• Ad-hoc analyses as needed

What You Bring

• Masters Degree or PhD in Biological Sciences
• 2+ years in Molecular Biology required
• Expertise in genomics and clinical diagnostics, specifically Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies
• Hands-on experience in molecular biology
• Knowledge of bioinformatics
• Relevant diagnostics laboratory product knowledge is valued but not required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong prioritization, planning and analytical skills
• Self-motivated, organized, able to multi-task in a dynamic environment
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the laboratory and with clients
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
