Senior Director/Director of Translational Collaborations

The (Senior) Director of Translational Collaborations will be responsible for creatively leveraging Immunai’s powerful suite of platform technologies to initiate and advance scientific collaborations with industry and academic partners. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in utilizing deep phenotypic and functional immune analyses to support translational research for pharmaceutical discovery, early development and/or clinical development. This highly collaborative role is expected to interface closely with the platform R&D team to help guide the development of Immunai platform capabilities and resources, and to work closely with the business development team to creatively leverage these diverse resources to generate differentiated translational insights to support external collaborations.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with platform R&D and business leadership to define and articulate a vision for how Immunai’s integrated lab and computational technologies can add value in tackling key challenges in pharmaceutical discovery and development.
  • Provide scientific leadership to the business development team in identifying potential collaboration partners and offer subject matter expertise in formulating and presenting collaborative project proposals.
  • Design experiments and analyses utilizing Immunai’s unique platform capabilities to bring differentiated value to pharma partners and lead a cross-functional team of immunologists, computational biologists and project managers to successfully execute on these designs.
  • Identify relevant prospective / retrospective patient cohorts and clinical trial opportunities, and initiate and oversee collaborations with academic medical centers to grow Immunai’s strategic data assets to support translational discovery.

Job Requirements

  • PhD/MD in the biological sciences, with specific experience in immunology and computational biology strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years in a translational research role in pharma/biotech supporting either discovery, early development or clinical development on compound specific project teams, with demonstrated evidence of leveraging patient translational analysis to augment the course of therapy development.
  • Direct technical experience leveraging high-dimensional immune profiling data and computational approaches, preferably scRNAseq/CITE-seq, for scientific and translational discovery.
  • Publication record demonstrating ability to leverage human patient translational data to drive scientific discovery and therapeutic clinical development.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally to achieve common goals.
  • Must be able to effectively initiate, manage, and lead collaborations with academic and industry partners.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
