Senior HR Business Partner

In this role, you'll work with the People and HRBP teams to provide HR consultation & coaching to our business teams, and drive the implementation of key People programs and services, as we continue to scale our Business Partner model within the People Ops function. In this role, you will report to the Head of HRBPs and serve as the main point of contact to business stakeholders in one of our business units. The HRBP will work with leadership to solve complex organizational challenges with special attention to people-related concerns. This person will be part of the larger People Ops organization and will work closely with colleagues across the team to maximize the success of our programs and strategies across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the business as a whole and deeply understand the goals and challenges of the assigned client groups; bring that understanding to solutions for leaders, managers, employees, and broader People Operations.
  • Be proactive in supporting managers, employees, and the broader People Operations team in creating an environment where all people are valued, respected, and have an equal opportunity to succeed.
  • Build meaningful relationships with business leaders and employees, quickly gaining credibility, and establishing trust with key stakeholders.
  • Diagnose problems, identify appropriate solutions, influence others with data-driven recommendations, and drive change.
  • Coach, counsel and guide management on the execution of talent management, career development, and performance management, feedback, and follow-up.
  • Collaborate across the HRBP team and with Total Rewards, DEI, HR Ops, Talent Dev & Recruiting, to ensure company-wide success of people programs and initiatives.
  • Be accountable for the successful delivery/implementation of core People Ops initiatives within assigned client groups (e.g., facilitating performance calibration, advising on compensation decisions, driving org design, developing engagement, retention, and talent planning strategies, and supporting leaders in managing change).
  • Partner with managers and broader People Operations team to resolve sensitive employee-relations situations, including conducting thoughtful, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal and compliance requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, consulting with legal counsel as needed/required.

Job Requirements

  • BA / BS degree or higher
  • 7+ years relevant experience in Human Resources
  • Hands-on leadership in a rapidly growing, fast-paced organization
  • Experience with onboarding, talent management & training, retention, off-boarding, diversity, and compensation & benefits administration, plus a general familiarity with a wide range of HR and Recruiting policies, practices, and trends
  • Strong change management and organizational development experience (e.g., Team/Manager Effectiveness, Org Design, Leadership Coaching)
  • Ability to consistently vacillate between strategy and operation/implementation
  • Both a team player and an independent self-starter
  • Thrives on tackling challenges and helping develop new ways to deal with existing issues; resourceful, inventive, self-motivated and able to independently lead
  • Natural ability to build strong relationships quickly
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and diplomacy and to manage difficult conversations and stressful situations with empathy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior organizational skills, project management abilities, and excellent attention to detail; thrives on getting things done both quickly and accurately
