Senior Technical Accountant (Remote or Hybrid Optional)

• Work with other team members in Finance and other business units on implementation of new accounting/regulatory guidance, including writing memos and project management.
• Research and provide guidance on technical accounting issues and document conclusions in memoranda.
• Provide the accounting team with technical accounting guidance and assist the business in evaluating the impact of significant transactions
• Evaluate new accounting standards and support implementation across the company
• Document and maintain the company’s accounting policies.
• Update and maintain policy and process documentation with respect to internal controls over financial reporting.  
• Interact with independent auditors; coordinate audit requests.
• Lead or assist with ad-hoc accounting projects, as assigned.  
• Staying informed of changes in financial regulations and legislation as applicable to the team.

• At least 3+ busy seasons in public accounting
• CPA
• Excellent technical,analyticaland organizational skills
• Strong understanding of a broad range of codification standards
• Detail-oriented approach to problem solving and ability to learn systems (reporting, record keeping, etc.) and processes quickly  
• Intellectual curiosity
• Good communicator with strong interpersonal skill and emotional intelligence
• Able to work autonomously and flexibly
• Positive enthusiastic approach with a can-do attitude
• Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent excel skills and all-round IT skills
