Our Senior Technical Program Managers lead strategic programs and initiatives across the division. Program Managers are key contributors to Akamai's success. Responsible for leading projects, developing processes that enable to measure and improve performance resulting in customer satisfaction.

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning and organizing programs at the organization level, across multiple groups as well as defining technical programs, identifying success criteria and compliance metrics
  • Creating requirements clarity, building relationships with partner teams, embracing agility, with the goal to drive business objectives
  • Identifying, assessing, mitigating risks arising from variety of situations including those that arise from dependencies between groups
  • Demonstrating skills in communicating program and project statuses to all levels of the organization, from technical teams to executive stakeholders
  • Partnering closely and collaborating with various stakeholders and teams across Akamai to deploy roadmap solutions
  • Defining and evangelizing custom processes and lifecycle management
  • Creating well-crafted messages to build consensus and/or enhance collaboration both inside and outside of the division
  • Working with tooling teams to implement new or updated tools in support of team or business processes

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in program/project management or its equivalent
  • Be comfortable navigating ambiguity, handling risks, and shifting gears as needed
  • Be able to inspire people at all levels of the organization without formal authority
  • Have experience in Identifying and managing project dependencies while maintaining accurate project plans with real-time milestone
  • Have experience with JIRA, Confluence, waterfall, agile methodologies, practices and PMP
  • Have experience with business process, operations, and metric definition best practices

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $108,900 - $226,100/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). Akamai provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation (in the form of PTO), sick time, family friendly benefits including parental leave and an employee assistance program including a focus on mental and financial wellness; Eligibility requirements apply.
