Sensor Signal Processing Engineer

We’re searching for a Sensor Signal Processing Engineer who will support current generation sensor programs and lead exploration of future sensing and perception opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our sensor and perception teams to understand our sensing capabilities and roadmap
  • Develop or source advanced RF or optical automotive sensing technology to solve perception problems
  • Perform simulation and rapid prototyping of new sensing architecture and algorithm models.
  • Perform system validation, characterization and root cause analysis at system level and module level

Job Requirements

  • B. S. in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 5+ years DSP experiences in radar or lidar signal processing (FMCW)
  • Solid knowledge of imaging radar systems or FMCW lidar system, e.g. phased array antenna designs, beamforming, MIMO radar algorithms, parametric spectral analysis
  • Experience in simulating (with Matlab or other languages such as C, C++, Python) an
    end-to-end system to meet required performance specifications, e.g., link budget,
    Signal-to-Noise/Clutter Ratio, Signal Sensitivity
  • Experience in designing, choosing, and optimizing DSP algorithms for radar or lidar
    sensors
  • Excellent hands-on skills in testing, verification, and troubleshooting of radar or lidar systems.
  • Enjoy taking initiative and working with multidisciplinary teams
