Rubicon is seeking a Training and Implementation (T&I) Specialist to onboard new clients and train our users on all RUBICONSmartCityTM software products. This role involves on-site and virtual training sessions/meetings. This position will play a supporting role on the Customer Success team with an emphasis on onboarding. The T&I Specialist is also expected to coach and consult with clients to help them make the best decisions for their operations.

This role ensures our partners begin their contracts with us by fully leveraging the power of Rubicon’s technology to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of their residential and commercial waste and recycling collection operations.

Responsibilities

  • Training and onboarding new customers
  • Identifying product improvements
  • Remaining abreast of new product releases
  • Assisting with creating and maintaining User Manual documentation
  • Assisting with maintaining implementation/start-up documentation and curriculum
  • Assisting with creating and presenting training webinars
  • Working with, collaborating, and partnering with other team members to achieve company goals
  • Considerable travel to client locations, as needed
  • Inquiring, reviewing, and analyzing customers’ existing processes and requirements to provide recommendations when implementing software

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years prior experience in a training or onboarding situation required
  • Technology-savvy - Experience understanding and developing familiarity with SaaS technology, artificial intelligence, and machine learning
  • Proven track record of building rapport and relationships with people
  • Good listening skills and ability to understand underlying issues and how we can help solve them
  • Comfortable working across a range of hierarchies and environments
  • Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced, ever-changing startup environment
  • Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills via phone, online and in person
  • High level of organization and a great attention to detail
  • Microsoft Office expertise – especially PowerPoint & Excel
  • Good time management skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Ability to provide effective training
  • Proficiency in video conferencing options (Zoom, Ring Central, Teams, Google Meet, etc.)
  • Independence - Problem Solving and ability to create “outside the box” solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously
  • Previous experience in technology, government, fleet operations, or familiarity with waste operations is a plus
  • Commercial awareness and a passion for cities preferred
  • This is a remote position located anywhere within the 48-contiguous states, but must be located near a major airport
