We’re looking for ​Software Development Engineer in Test at Bright Machines to join the Cloud team and be responsible for defining testing coverage and implementing quality validation, both manual and automated, to achieve CI/CD validity of business logic and user interface as well as to reduce regression time. In addition, the SDET will be working closely with both QA and Development teams to design and create a unified test automation framework that will be used across all levels of the web development organization.  ​

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for the software testing cross-system tasks (BE and FE), both manual and automated
  • Design and develop detailed automated tests from test plans, test cases, and functional specs with a reliable, scalable, and maintainable test automation framework
  • Conduct system-level and component-level tests. Strive to automate the process as much as possible by developing automation suites that provide high coverage, run fast, and are easy to maintain
  • Proficiency in creating and running both manual and automated Test Plan scenarios
  • Development of E2E tests running on top of all environments including production
  • Working in an agile environment with a tight schedule, an open-source ecosystem, and with a great team culture
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with the QA and development teams to develop automation processes and plans, investigate design approaches, implement new technologies and frameworks
  • Diagnose, debug, and perform root-cause analysis of issues and defects
  • Actively participate in test planning discussions to ensure automation coverage is continuously improving
  • Help to define and implement quality standards and promote best practices for distributed systems
  • Analyze and experience end-user behavior while finding potential issues in order to ensure system quality and stability

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with automation testing
  • Experience and knowledge with automation frameworks such as Cucumber / Selenium/ playwright
  • Experience with common CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitlabCI, etc.)
  • Experience with web applications testing
  • Experience working with DB (such as Postgres/SQL/NoSQL)
  • Experience writing detailed test documents (STP, STD, STR)
  • Deep understanding of QA methodologies
  • Experience with functional, UI, Sanity, loading , and data validation testing
  • Experience with AWS stack
  • Experience & knowledge with REST API
  • Experience with ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, Metricbeat etc.)
  • Ability to work and learn individually as well as work as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks under tight deadlines
