The VP of Clinical Operations will be accountable for spearheading Spring Health’s Clinical Care Navigation and Provider Quality teams and for building other clinical competencies that serve Spring Health’s members, customers, and providers. Spring Health is devoted to finding an exceptional, long-term leader to ensure our clinical team thrives and maximizes its impact on members’ mental health. The ideal candidate will combine a clinical background with proven experience scaling and delivering clinical solutions, either in a vendor or provider setting. We are seeking an entrepreneurial leader with a deep passion for improving access to high-quality mental healthcare delivered in a compassionate and precise manner. This is a highly cross-functional and strategic role that will require a high degree of collaboration, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to apply clinical expertise to the design and delivery of highly effective operating models at a rapidly growing scale.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the growth and continuous evolution of our Care Navigation team, encompassing a 24/7 Crisis Line, on-demand, and scheduled sessions with clinical care navigators
  • Continuously refine and improve our approach to guiding members through their mental healthcare journey, deploying clinical resources to members’ care journeys at the time and circumstances where they can have the greatest impact on care outcomes
  • Direct and build our Provider Quality team, charged with continuously assessing and improving the standard of care delivered by Spring Health’s global network of therapists and medication managers
  • Partner with the Global operations leader to design and scale our global Care Services model across >40 countries to balance global consistency and local appropriateness
  • Draw on evidence-based best practices and research on member outcomes in refining Care Navigation and Care Delivery protocol and processes
  • Guide the strategic direction of care navigation in collaboration with Spring Health’s Product and Medical Affairs leadership
  • Guide the continuous identification, quantification, and specification of product improvements and extensions to support care navigation/management workflows
  • Be accountable for clinical programs including (but not limited to):

* 24/7 clinical crisis center

* referral processes to internal and external behavioral health providers

* case management workflows including longitudinal care management with new specialty programs such as Substance Use Disorder (SUD).

* clinical standards and quality

  • Facilitate the growth and development of the Clinical Operations team, with a focus on creating career growth opportunities and leadership development for individual contributors in the Care Navigation and Provider Quality teams.
  • Work strategically with Business Development, Care Operations, Customer Success, Product, Data Science, Medical Affairs, Provider Operations, and the Executive Team to achieve shared success and impact
  • Roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to deliver the best possible member experience and clinical outcomes in a fast-paced environment

Job Requirements

  • Clinical education (Master’s level or higher) in counseling, psychology, social work, public health, nursing, or related field required; licensure and 5+ years of practice strongly preferred
  • 8+ years of services team ownership and management experience; experience overseeing clinical teams strongly preferred
  • Experience managing as a VP or comparable span of ownership
  • Proven track record of team and people leadership development
  • Strong executive presence and aptitude to represent Care Services and clinical delivery teams effectively to C-suite stakeholders
