Engineering Manager, AI

As the Engineering Manager, AI in the CoCounsel Drafting group, you will be responsible for leading the development of the core applied AI/ML capabilities to power the transactional drafting product portfolio and help our customers to drive their journey to more efficient drafting. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior team members, and help drive the roadmap of the area. You will cultivate a vision and strategy for the team aligned with our mission and guide innovation projects from end-to-end: idea to production.

About the Role

In this opportunity as an  Engineering Manager, AI , you will be responsible to:

  • Be both highly technical and an effective people manager, can be hands-on when needed
  • Lead teams that deliver on multiple projects of increasing dependencies in an ambiguous or high-impact area
  • Work with your team and cross functional partners to define and influence strategy
  • Drive roadmap creation and execution
  • Collaborate with various functions, drive engineering initiatives and have an impact at an organizational level
  • Participate in technical design
  • Measure the impact of your team and set clear expectations and goals
  • Work effectively with cross functional partners and stakeholders to set and achieve optimal outcomes
  • Partner with leadership to influence and drive org design, contribution and prioritization

About You

You’re a fit for the role if your background includes:

  • 5+ years of software engineering work experience, including hands-on technical management building holistic web based software solution, API design, and interactions between servers and clients
  • 5+ years experience coding in one of the following languages: C#, Python
  • 5+ years experience coding in one of the following UI frameworks: Angular, React, Typescript
  • 5+ years experience working with cloud technologies: Azure, AWS or GCP (Preferably, Azure)
  • 2+ years of experience developing, coaching, and managing engineering leaders
  • BA/BS in Computer Science (In lieu of degree, 4+ years work experience)
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance management
