Why we’re hiring for this role: 
We’re seeking a Senior Engineer to join our team building the future of radiology.  You’ll work on a new Rad AI product, a modern Progressive web application that uses AI to improve radiologists' efficiency and reduce burnout. This role will work alongside our high-performing cross-functional team of Full Stack Engineers, ML Engineers, and Product Leaders, and various other teams internally and externally to develop this responsive and performant application.

This is what you’ll do:

• Develop a large-scale Progressive Web Application (PWA) in Typescript that features local data storage, networking to multiple backend endpoints, complex user interactions and input methods, and SDK support for client extensions
• Interface with and extend the Python backend when needed to support the needs of the PWA client
• Build code that meets our internal standards for security, style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment
• Work with Product Management and other stakeholders (Backend, Platform, Security, etc.) to iterate on new features and address defects
• Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance that have a particular impact across your team
• Tackle performance and optimization problems, particularly at large scale, and demonstrate an ability to diagnose and prevent these problems

This is what you'll need:

• 5 + years of industry frontend engineering experience, possibly including frontend architect development 
• In-depth knowledge of TypeScript and React 
• Fluency with HTML, CSS, responsive design, and other related web technologies 
• Familiarity with cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, browser networking, and browser APIs such as IndexedDB and WebSockets.
• Experience with unit and integration testing
• Experience working on a distributed team and strong version control skills using git

This would be nice to have:

• Experience with Python, including web frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django, and databases like PostgreSQL
• Experience working on Progressive Web Applications and/or Electron
• Experience working at an early-stage startup 
• Experience in a HIPAA-compliant environment, especially with FHIR and HL7
• Experience working on machine learning
