Why we’re hiring for this role: We’re seeking a Software Engineer to join our team building the future of radiology.  You’ll work on Continuity, a Rad AI product to identify and track recommended follow-ups in radiology reports. This role will work alongside our high-performing cross-functional team of Full Stack Engineers, ML Engineers, and Product Leaders, and various other teams internally and externally to develop this responsive and performant application. 

This is what you’ll do:

• Develop a large-scale single page web application that streamlines follow-up navigators’ work and increases their efficiency and effectiveness.
• Work on a modern Typescript, React front end using GraphQL with Relay.
• Develop the Python, FastAPI backend services including a REST API, NLP model pipeline service, HL7 message processor, and automated communication service.
• Build new features that support our rapidly growing number of customers
• Write code that meets our internal standards for security, style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale HIPAA web environment. 
• Work with Product Management, UX, Customer Success and other stakeholders to iterate on new features and address defects.
• Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance that have a particular impact across your team. 

This is what you'll need:

• 3+ years of industry fullstack engineering experience with single and multi-tenanted environments
• In-depth knowledge of TypeScript and React, Python and FastAPI, or equivalent modern languages/frameworks
• Knowledge of relational and document based databases, as well as other large scale data storage paradigms
• Knowledge of modern web architecture and best practices
• Fluency with HTML, CSS, responsive design, and other related web technologies 
• Familiarity with cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, browser networking, and browser APIs such as IndexedDB and WebSockets.
• Experience with unit and integration testing
• Experience working on a distributed team and strong version control skills using git
• Experience with performance and optimization problems, particularly at large scale, and a demonstrated ability to diagnose and prevent these problems

This would be nice to have:

• Experience with Typescript and React
• Experience with Python, FastAPI, Starlette, SQLAlchemy
• Experience with GraphQL, especially React Relay and/or Strawberry GraphQL
• Experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience with 3rd-party integrations such as Auth0, Twilio, Amplitude
• Experience working at an early-stage startup
• Experience in a HIPAA-compliant environment, especially with FHIR and HL7
• Experience working on machine learning
