Analytics Engineer

• Lead the design and development of our billing and financial analytics infrastructure and end-to-end reporting system, including - data ingestion, transformation, validation, automation, reporting, and ongoing monitoring/maintenance
• Work cross-functionally with Data Engineering, DevOps, Finance, Accounting, and Operations to identify source of truth data, codify business rules, and build out data models to track and measure our core financial metrics
• Design, build, and maintain highly scalable and reliable infrastructure - Commitment to writing clean, readable, well documented and high-quality code
• Deploy code to production, and own the product throughout the lifecycle
• Respond to internal billing support requests from throughout the company
• Use automated reporting to ensure painless and reliable billing, proper revenue recognition, and robust financial reporting within Socure’s products
• Contribute and lead system design discussions, stand up meetings, and discrepancy reporting with Accounting, Finance and Operations stakeholders
• You will be constantly seeking ways to improve development practices to ensure we maintain a high level of quality with a fast pace of delivery

• 3+ years experience in a data engineering role
• BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent
• Excellent knowledge of data warehouse development lifecycle best practices
• Excellent SQL and data comprehension skills; not only writing complex SQL scripts but also optimizing existing queries and data models for a production environment
• Experience with Python, Scala or other similar programming languages is a big plus
• Good knowledge of dbt/data modeling concepts like snapshots, incremental models, etc.
• Experience using git and other command line tools to automate data pipelines
• Experience working with SaaS applications and data specific to billing and business processes (Netsuite, Salesforce)
• Experience with BI tooling (Looker, Tableau)
• Must have a business-impact-driven, pragmatic approach to delivering projects on time with high quality
• Self-starter attitude and the ability to execute new ideas with autonomy
• Strong verbal and written English skills
• Demonstrated experience working with business partners turning their objectives into KPIs, tooling, and visualizations that provide insight and improve operations
• Ability and interest in working at a fully remote company crossing international time zones
