Deal Desk Analyst

In this role, you will make an impact on the day to day efficiency of Dataminr’s quote to cash operations.  Working with sales reps to create and modify quotes and service orders, that are in alignment with our pricing and policy expectations, providing guidance to our technology team on enhancements that can improve the overall process, designing training materials, readying our systems for product launches, and responding to purchase-related questionnaires could all be a part of any given day.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Sales team and serve as a strategic business partner and trusted advisor on deal structuring (optimize deals configurations, facilitate deal reviews, and approvals)
  • Engage and coordinate the flow of information across multiple groups such as Sales, Customer Success, Product, Legal, Finance, Revenue Accounting, and other corporate functions to structure contractual arrangements and facilitate the deal process
  • Ensure that the execution of the deal review and approval process follows Dataminr  policies and guidelines
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to help set policies, process and procedures, and assist or drive their implementation/documentation
  • Educate Sales teams on changes in processes, policies, and best practices to improve performance and release Sales capacity to core Sales activities
  • Ensure that Sales and contract data is accurate in Salesforce, and partner with cross-functional teams  to reconcile downstream processes, including renewal creation, subscription management, and general reporting
  • Work with our internal Trust team to respond to prospect and customer questionnaires/RFPs, which span a wide variety of topics

Job Requirements

  • Ideally you hold a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field
  • 3-5 years experience in a SaaS environment with exposure to various financial and/or commercial disciplines, preferably in Deal Desk and Contract Management
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce CPQ features, functionality, and workflow design
  • Ability to read, understand and draft contractual business terms and conditions
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with strong executive presence and a commitment to hitting self-set deadlines
  • Experience and understanding of revenue recognition principles, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and US GAAP preferred
  • An eye for spotting process efficiency opportunities
