The Director, HR Business Partner will be the strategic business partner, leading the business partner team and supporting Socure’s Executives in Commercial and Product.

This person will be a sounding board, thought partner, and a trusted advisor to leadership. In partnership with functional leaders, the person will help align teams to business objectives, enhance team performance, support employee development, and plan and execute strategic people initiatives. This job will contribute at both hands-on and strategic levels to cultivate an amazing and innovative culture as Socure scales to double in size and beyond. This person will need to flex between handling strategic people initiatives one moment and coaching managers on people-related matters the next.

Responsibilities

  • Build effective working relationships with the executives that lead Socure’s market facing functions and teams. Participate fully as value adding members of their extended teams.
  • Partner with executive teams to translate functional strategies into talent and organizational requirements. This includes quantitative and qualitative dimensions of workforce planning
  • Lead People Partners, providing oversight, strategic direction and coaching
  • Work with People team members and a variety of stakeholders to develop and deploy People solutions that shape leadership, capability and culture in alignment with strategy.
  • Coach, support and manage effectively constructive conversations at all levels. Handle employee relations concerns with professionalism, empathy and competence.
  • Represent effectively and advocate for the solutions and services of the People team, while also surfacing challenges and educating peers on changing needs and requirements
  • Lead and participate in projects focused on accelerating learning and performance in a rapidly scaling, distributed business.
  • Develop models and approaches for forecasting talent outcomes, organizational models and fostering stronger individual and organizational outcomes.
  • Directly interview and assess talent for key roles
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key leaders across Commercial and Product organizations. Assist with the orchestration and coordination of all things related to the people agenda in a manner that facilitates agility, role clarity, and strong collaboration within the People function.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s and/or MS Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of relevant experience and 5+ years of leadership experience
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while demonstrating keen attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of an organization
  • Knowledge of sales, broad-based and equity-based compensation
  • Advanced critical thinking and strong quantitative skills
  • Experience with M&A and integrations.
  • Global experience with an understanding of how to provide HR Operational support in a scalable, agile and compliant manner in a growing international business.
  • Experience using data in decision making and in evaluating the effectiveness of programs and services
  • Has excelled in a rapidly scaling environment
