We are seeking an ElectricalPower Systems Engineer to join Anduril, working in a cutting-edge start-up environment to advance the state-of-the-possible in subsea robotics.
Responsibilities
- Work within a team of multidisciplinary engineers and specialists throughout the life of AUV design and integration efforts
- Analyse vehicle use cases and write specifications for new onboard power sources
- Work with local suppliers and Anduril engineers to design, prototype, test, and produce next-generation subsea power storage systems
- Design fast-charge systems for subsea power storage systems and enable rapid mission turnaround times
- Analyze existing power architecture, PCBs, and components and improve system efficiency
- Design, integration, and testing of new power distribution systems (conversions, cabling, monitoring systems, etc.)
- PCB design and prototyping for new capabilities and improvements
- Support for test and evaluation program for the qualification of new energy sources for use on AUV platforms
Job Requirements
- A passion for robotics development, integration, and testing
- 8+ years designing and/or testing high-density energy storage systems
- Strong conceptual understanding of power storage and regeneration concepts as well as modern and emerging storage technologies
- Experience with Altium Designer
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Ability to interact directly with suppliers and review technical details of power system electronics
