We are looking for a Team member who can independently oversee the development of the Advanced Air Mobility infrastructure portfolio and assist in Airspace and Regulatory Integration planning. Your mission is to work with a range of policy and regulatory partners (CASA and Air Services), as well as industry leaders, such as; property developers, airport corporations, local councils including the Queensland Council of Mayors; to oversee the assist in the creation of a detailed ground support infrastructure plan to support Wisk enter into services in Australia. You will also assist in the Wisk regulatory engagement framework to oversee the regulatory roadmap under development in Australia.  Your work will be essential to support the future safe and effective integration of our aircraft and ground systems in the future .


You will also work with other product teams, both in the US and across APAC to develop and refine various concepts of operations, and will engage with other regulators in the Asia Pacific. You will combine your understanding of the aviation system, with keen insights on how to safely integrate new autonomous technologies for passenger airline operations and integrate that with the emerging infrastructure requirements.


You will be part of the Air Carrier Team, laying the foundation for further expansion over the coming years.

Responsibilities

  • Support US based teams in the development, definition and implementation of infrastructure technical standards to enable autonomous aircraft to operate and land safely at existing or new landing locations across a connected network of routes within urban areas.
  • Engage with regulatory authorities in Australia and Asia Pacific jurisdictions to negotiate and implement pathways for infrastructure approvals, including zoning regulations, airspace management coordination and aerodrome equipment requirements to enable autonomous instrumented flight routes.
  • Support our strategic partnerships and go to market teams in establishing and maintaining relationships with local/state and federal government authorities in relation to Vertiport projects.
  • Connect with partners for the identification, design and development of Vertiports.
  • Connect Asia Pacific activities with Wisk’s global strategy for the delivery of self flying passenger aircraft.
  • Work with Wisk commercial teams to integrate operational design with commercial planning and ensure suitable business outcomes.
  • Support the development of Vertiport operational procedures and manuals to enable Part 135 Air Carrier operations.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years in a Product/Project Manager role (or equivalent experience)
  • Demonstrated experience in the aviation industry including development and/or operations and/or with air navigation service providers, including an understanding of instrument flight procedures (preferred).
  • First-hand experience working with an aviation regulator, with an understanding of Airport Operations and Airspace regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a globally distributed team
