We’re searching for highly skilled Technicians who have great attention to detail, are experts at problem-solving, assembling simple and complex hardware systems in a Manufacturing prototype environment. Candidates must have a deep passion for cars, and, trucks and implementing future technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a Manufacturing Technician building Aurora’s self-driving vehicles

Includes vehicle build, sub-assembly, PCBA solder/rework, and harness assembly.

  • Candidates must possess excellent documentation practices.
  • Work closely with Hardware Engineering and associated teams.
  • Follow safety standards and meet internal deadlines.
  • Work with limited oversight.
  • Seek continuing education and development opportunities.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of direct experience in automotive, trucking, or prototyping spaces
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, ERP, PLM, CAD, and various other software tools  
  • Must possess excellent communication skills
  • Deep knowledge of automotive and trucking systems, tooling, and mechanical assemblies
  • Strong electrical skills, ability to read wiring schematics and layouts, and assemble wiring harnesses
  • Ability to problem-solve, diagnose, analyze and isolate problems
  • Proficiency with Windows, Mac, and Linux
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment
  • A can-do customer service attitude with the ability to multitask under pressure in an unstructured environment

Desirable Qualifications

  • IPC training and certification
  • IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-7711/7721
  • GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing certification) training
