As an immersive designer in the Mixed Reality group, you will work on high-caliber team of researchers, product managers, and cross-discipline engineers to create Palantir’s next-generation of end-user experiences. You are task driven, self-motivated, proactive, and work well under deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for devising, designing, developing, implementing and maintaining intuitive spatial user experiences and performant immersive assets from creation to shipping.
- Help develop and lead the content pipeline from design, art, development, through deployment, including using state-of-art convolutional neural networks and computer vision functionality for complex user workflows.
- Optimize content performance through efficient asset creation, modeling and texturing standard processes.
- Partner closely with the engineering teams to define and develop content Unity, Unreal, and other graphic engines.
- Quickly solve issues with your multi-functional leads and thrive in an agile, fast-paced environment.
- Partner actively with customers in the field as well as user researchers and engineers internally to develop applications that inspire confidence, delight our end-users, and ultimately result in products users want to rely on.
Job Requirements
- Experience creating modern mixed reality experiences (both virtual reality and augmented reality; working in a team with significant responsibilities for user experience design and visual development in a VFX or gaming context).
- Proven proficiency in a major 3D software such as Unity, Maya, 3DS Max, Z-Brush, and Substance Painter.
- Solid knowledge in skills such as modeling, texturing, lighting, animation, physics and particle systems.
- Experience in VFX and Gaming
- Proven ability for optimized real-time 3D modeling
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience shipping enterprise products built on Unity, Unreal or similar game engines.
- Must be a US citizen or eligible to work on ITAR or EAR controlled projects.
