As a Quality Systems Engineer, they will also support quality by monitoring Quality standards and taking actions to fix quality issues (CAPA, RCCA, CIP, internal audits, etc.) Part of the daily routine will interact with many different departments for cross-functional engagement.
They contribute to the improvement of Zoox's Quality Policy and Manual. They will play a fundamental role to support the setting up of procedures and instructions, and processes that will allow Zoox to align with the international standards for Quality Systems (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and similar).
Responsibilities
- Lead development of Quality Systems
- Establish and support the link between Quality processes and Zoox systems such as SAP/ EQMS/ MES/ Jira / 3DX/ etc.
- Manage integration and timeline to establish a functional link between above processes
- Lead root cause analysis activities and corrective action implementation
- Support process improvement activities
- Support Quality System implementation
- Responsible for creating reports to show quality status in manufacturing, service, etc.
Job Requirements
- BS in an engineering discipline with an understanding of technical print reading (GD&T)
- Min 5 years experience in quality
- Experience in standard quality tools required (FMEA, Control Plan, 8D, PPAP, SPC, CAPA, etc.)
- Automotive background and understanding preferred
- Experience in Project Management, VSM/ process mapping required
- Experience in implementing quality processes into ERP/MES/QMS systems
- Ability to adapt in a fast-changing dynamic environment
- Able to lead independent activities such as root cause analysis, process improvement, etc.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience in Jira and SAP preferred
- Certification as lead auditor and/or previous ISO/ IATF/ AS experience preferred
- Previous experience in software systems is a bonus but not required
- Industry background and/or experience in; automotive, software, contract manufacturing, customer management
