This role presents an exciting opportunity to not only become an expert in our industry-leading RWD assets, products and solutions, but to develop and implement new processes that will streamline the way that we manage our knowledge internally and share it externally.

ConcertAI seeks a growth-oriented individual as its new Business Intelligence Research Scientist. The Business Intelligence (BI) Research Scientist will work closely with ConcertAI’s internal and external customers to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions. He or she will provide data that is accurate, congruent and reliable and is easily accessible.

This role will help the business teams drive improvement in key business metrics, customer experience and business results. The BI Research Scientist will also interact with various development teams, project managers, senior management, and external vendors. This individual understands how data is turned into information and knowledge and how the knowledge supports and enables key business processes. He or she must develop an in-depth understanding of the business environment and possess both strong analytical and communication skills. Further, the BI Research Scientist must work well within a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Become an expert and thought leader in ConcertAI RWD assets, products, and solutions
  • Works closely with the Sales teams to understand the customer’s needs in the oncology or healthcare drug development space
  • Assist in the design of proposed solutions by developing a strong understanding of customer’s needs and objectives and of our ability to add-value.
  • Design database query logic for data science analyses to perform accurate search of the ConcertAI data
  • Design curation logic to perform accurate annotation of patient charts
  • Track, prioritize, organize, and communicate pre-sales and marketing information internally and externally.
  • Understanding of the oncology healthcare drug development space
  • Review and interpret Requests For Information or Proposal (RFI/RFP), including scientific content and submission requirements to identify business requirements and information needed
  • Identify gaps and conduct interviews with internal stakeholders to confirm RFI/RFP response approach and obtain necessary content for a robust response
  • Work with the Business Intelligence team to maintain the source of truth for ConcertAI’s data and offerings across multiple business units
  • Design, build and deploy BI solutions, such as dashboards for internal monitoring of data
  • Provide integrated thought pieces and micro-analyses before critical meetings and presentations by using our own data as well as external market data

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in the life sciences with 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Strongly preferred, an advanced scientific degree, PhD or a Master’s degree in the life sciences with 3+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
  • Experience in pharmaceutical healthcare industry, specifically in oncology
  • Strongly preferred, experience with curation of life sciences data, in particular patient charts
  • Strongly preferred, experience with database models and life science standard vocabularies
  • Strong organizational skills, leadership, and management ability
  • Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
  • Ability to gather, organize, analyze, and communicate data
  • Proven ability to take initiative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
