As an experienced Senior Accountant for the organization you will lead performance of monthly and quarterly closing procedures for a subset of the business, ensure adherence to the company’s accounting policies, enforce strong internal controls, and assist with Government compliance functions as needed. The accounting areas include (but not limited to) cash, billings/revenue, payables and accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, payroll/benefit, intercompany allocations and transactions, and consolidation.
Responsibilities
- Execute Government Accounting/Compliance functions on ad-hoc basis (e.g. annual incurred cost and provisional billing rates submissions, floor-checks/MAAR 6 readiness, etc.)
- Prepare customer invoices. Complete project setup in ERP system.
- Execute monthly/quarterly closing procedures, Perform analytical evaluation of balance sheet and income statement accounts, Enforce a strong internal controls environment, Support business integration activities, Work with internal and external auditors to ensure timely completion of procedures
Job Requirements
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP Government contracting/compliance experience
- Familiarity with FAR and CAS
- Total experience of 5+ years BS/BA degree in accounting
- Demonstrate initiative, sound judgment, research regulations/requirements and provide recommendations for implementation
- You have a demonstrated record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others
Preferred qualifications:
- CPA with public accounting experience
- Experience with Deltek GCS, Deltek Costpoint, or NetSuite
- Experience with DCAA and DCMA Compliance
