Senior Software Engineer, Data and Evaluation

You will play a significant role in building a scalable data platform, data management system, data pipelines and data insights. In this role, you will design and implement architectures to support data processing and management systems for labeling data (perception, sensor, map), road driving data, fleet operation data, etc. You will work on defining business metrics and providing insights for the company's strategic planning and decision making. You will work on building an experiment framework to ensure data-driven release, testing, and product launch processes. You will also be hands-on using machine learning modules to generate insights from data for autonomous driving fleet operations.

• Strong programming skills in C/C++, Java or Python
• Minimum of a Masters Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 3+ years experience in data domain
• Working experience with large-scale data platforms and pipelines such as Hadoop, Hive, Pig, MapReduce, Spark, Kafka, Flumes, etc.
• Solid work experiences with large data sets and familiarity with state-of-the-art data processing mechanisms and frameworks
• Strong communication skills, can coordinate smoothly with partner teams and peers
• Knowledge of LIDAR, GPS, IMU, and wheel encoder is a plus
• Knowledge of self-driving domain or relevant experiences is a plus
• Solid experience in a fast-paced and structured engineering environment
• Full stack experience including both front end and back end is preferred
