Software Engineer - Gotham
Job Description
As a Software Engineer working on our Palantir Gotham product, you'll contribute high-quality code to transform how public and private sector organizations use data. The features our team builds are used by research scientists, aerospace engineers, intelligence analysts, and economic forecasters, in countries around the world.
Palantir Gotham's Product Development organization is made up of small teams of Software Engineers. Each team focuses on a specific aspect of the product. For example, you might be part of a team that builds components of the Gotham release infrastructure, or build features for platform security, launching in different environments, service infrastructure, and the workspace. We encourage movement across teams to share context, skills, and experience, allowing us to learn about the product holistically.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on all aspects of the product lifecycle - from idea generation, design, and prototyping, to execution and shipping
- Closely partner with technical and non-technical counterparts to understand our customers' problems and build products that solve them
- Meet with customers to understand their needs - you might tour the assembly line at an auto manufacturer or join a counter-terror analyst at their desk to really understand their mission and their difficulties
Job Requirements
- Strong engineering background with demonstrated proficiency in programming languages, such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages
- Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools
