SVP, Brand & Communications Strategy

The SVP of Brand and Communications Strategy will be responsible for building the strategy for generating brand awareness and engagement for our fast-growing company. Innovation and creativity is in our DNA, so you will be responsible for building out our corporate narrative while messaging new solution sets across industries in service to attracting new audiences and relevancy with the media and analysts. Pushing the boundaries, pushing us to our limits and someone who can be a visionary for the company through differentiated messaging and visual identity are a few of the opportunities for this candidate. Further, this role will be responsible for managing our internal creative and communication teams including external agencies to enable breakthrough messaging, positioning and creative output for consistency across all communications channels. The SVP will report to our Chief Marketing Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own SentinelOne’s corporate narrative
  • Lead and manage a team responsible for Creative, Public Relations, Analyst Relations and Customer Advocacy initiatives including references, etc.
  • Build differentiated messaging strategies for brand awareness, engagement and recognition for prospects, customers, media and industry analysts
  • Creative should be built with the business targets and personas in mind while being innovative within our visual identity
  • Manage global multi-agency relationships and continually work to evolve the most efficient use of the agency network as we scale
  • Influence creative strategy and execution inclusive of the creation of brand guidelines, working cross-functionally to ensure branding initiatives support company objectives
  • Influence Web Design strategy, campaign concepts & execution and messaging & positioning in collaboration with partners across the UX, Product Marketing and Digital Demand teams
  • Oversight of brand compliance issues in partnership with legal, including global trademark protection
  • Influence customer experience from acquisition through usage of product in collaboration with the product design team
  • Responsible for carrying out all creative and innovative initiatives in support of the brand
  • Will be metric driven and can draw insight from complex marketing data

Job Requirements

  • 15+ years of brand building and communications experience in B2B SaaS environments with an understanding of B2C influence a plus
  • Understanding and experience with category creation to differentiate our brand in the marketplace
  • Ability to build a brand that employees love and customers can’t get enough of
  • Strong leadership, communication and writing skills
  • Entrepreneurial by nature and works well in a rapidly changing environment
  • Proven track record of being a goal-oriented business partner along with being an innovative and creative visionary force for the company
  • Entrepreneurial leader who proactively seeks out and pitches new opportunities in service to keeping the brand top of mind across multiple audiences.
  • Proven experience leading breakthrough creative teams, with an emphasis on customer-centric communications and bottom-line business results.
  • Experience driving a data driven approach from demand through to brand health.
  • Experience in working with agencies – budgeting, resource planning, mentoring and training.
  • Experience with implementing and leveraging martech to support the creative business including tools that create project plans, streamline to meet deadlines, productivity enablement and tracking, etc.
  • Proven leadership experience creating a collaborative, fun and successful creative organization.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, fluid, entrepreneurial, globally distributed environment.
  • Able to, and enjoy, shifting between creative and visionary to pragmatic and tactical.
  • Experience with digital creative development and media channels (display, retargeting, programmatic, paid search, mobile, tablet, email marketing, native advertising), managing deployment, measuring results and guiding optimizations.
  • Working knowledge of paid search strategies and best practices.
  • Significant experience with a communications or design/ad agency with software companies.
