Technical Operations is responsible for building the vehicle technology and operations that enable Cruise to deliver a safe, reliable, cost effective, and scalable autonomous fleet. We collaborate across Cruise and our partners to develop vehicle platforms like the Cruise Origin, drive structural cost advantages, and define the technology necessary to run operations across markets. We’re looking for an experienced athlete with engineering or operational experience to guide our strategic development of fleet activities including maintenance, inspections, data, charging, and calibration. As an intern, you’ll have an opportunity to work across business, operations, and engineering partners to tackle our most critical unlocks to scale.

Responsibilities

  • Develop technical strategies to reduce operating and capital expenses by unlocking vehicle, infrastructure, and operational efficiencies.
  • Set feature priority and timing to drive effective scoping, commitment, and development with Engineering teams in accordance with program milestones.
  • Use data-backed analyses to determine advantageous make vs. buy decisions for fleet maintenance and repair.
  • Successfully pitch strategies and execution plans to Cruise executives and cross- functional leaders.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to understand and communicate clearly complex technical systems to executive- level audience
  • Ability to structure ambiguous problems, establish a motivating vision, and drive execution
