This role is part of Cruise’ Commercial Operations and will work cross-functionally across internal and external commercial and technical teams. This person will have an outsized influence on the design, bring-up and operations of Cruise’ infrastructure in a given market or region. The role will be initially responsible for new market expansion and will oversee the growth in these markets through to mature operations.
Responsibilities
- Be overall responsible for operating infrastructure strategy and deployment in a market or region
- Drive site selection, with support from real estate team and external partners, to support deployment ramp plans for AV fleet
- Identify and develop opportunities for quick deployment and long-term infrastructure needs
- Oversee partner and internal delivery teams for bring-up of pipeline sites to ensure adherence to requirements, timelines and budget
- Support AV Operations to meet market goals with detailed infrastructure utilization plans
- Identify and propose ways to optimize infrastructure use
- Partner with Cruise Gov Affairs to identify and develop state, city and utility incentives, co-funding opportunities and provide input on land-use or zoning topics
- Track and analyze utilization of infrastructure, collaborate with commercial and technical teams to assess root cause and finding opportunities to optimize at each site
- Take ownership of infrastructure sites from initial evaluation through operational and pull together cross-functional teams to drive to solution when needed
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM, quantitative or analytical field, or equivalent work experience
- 5-7 years of work experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Ability to drive towards decisions from ambiguous and sometimes conflicting data and information

- Complex operations experience in a fleet or transportation service
- Strong project management experience
- Familiarity of land-use, permitting and construction bring-up process
- Good grasp of utility tariffs and EV / EV charging technical and commercial knowledge
